Workouts. If only they could be any easier.
Wait, what? They can?
Contrary to what many believe, you don’t need bulky gym equipment to workout. Although you can do that, there are now hundreds of ways in which you can do exercise without heavy equipment in the gym or at home.
Suspension training is a good example.
Suspension training is an exercise that uses your own body weight. It also uses suspender straps, bands, and hooks to help you gain strength, flexibility, and balance.
Fun fact: It was discovered through the Navy SEALs.
The US military is a fan of suspension training. If they’re in great shape, that means I can too. So I got myself some.
These suspenders I’m talking about are the TRX All-In-One Suspension Training Kit.
What exactly is it?
The TRX suspension training kit is one of those brands that believe in using the bodyweight to burn fat, build muscle, strengthen the core, increase flexibility, and improve endurance.
Now, you might be asking, Can it really do that?
Or say, Those military men and women are already in shape. Maybe they’re just maintaining what they already have.
If you are, then you are in for a treat!
I am excited to share my experience with you because it’s my first time using suspenders as a workout tool.
Okay, so how does the TRX all-in-one suspension training kit work?
I wouldn’t say it’s an equipment, more so a machine. I call it a tool or device maybe because it’s not that big, size-wise. But hey, I’m not underestimating it at all.
In fact, it’s capable of a lot of things!
So what you do is attach or “anchor” it to the ceiling, bridge, door, a strong tree branch, and just about anywhere else that you know can support your weight and the exercises.
Setup is easy and takes only 1-2 minutes.
The idea is simple. Basically, you’re just being suspended not in the air, but with gravity and your own weight by the straps. Combine these with exercise movements and you’ve got yourself a workout.
Key Features of the Kit:
All-in-one suspension trainer – supports the body and assist in exercise movements
Indoor/Outdoor anchors – attaches to indoor/outdoor objects for security
Single point anchor – for easy setup
Locking loop – prevents slipping
Integrated Handles and Foot Cradles – for easy standing and floor exercises
4 strength bands – for different band strength
It will get you fit by targeting your core, training your muscles, and burning your fat. It will make you more flexible too.
Setup was a breeze. I tried it anchored to the ceiling first and it was great. The first few movements were tricky though.
I had to get a good grip and position myself in the most comfortable way. Being pulled down by my weight is where the challenge starts. I gave myself some time to get used to it and tried a few exercises.
Once I got the hang of it (just took about 15 minutes), I was enjoying every second of it!
My bodyweight and gravity really do a lot to the exercises. And the suspenders are what made them efficient and effective.
Doing squats, planks, rotations were impressive. You will feel the difference from when you’re doing them in the gym or with equipment at home. But they still work excellently.
I used too much force when doing push and pull-ups which added strain to my hands and arms. But it wasn’t major. Other than that, I can say I was doing great!
I was able to get the results I wanted.
If there’s one thing I’m disappointed about, it’s the missing shaker bottle. When I got the package, it was the first thing I looked for, to be honest. Which is why I feel bad I don’t have it.
Otherwise, I give this suspension training kit 5 stars.
What exercises can you do with it?
You can do both upper and lower exercises. You can do push-ups, pull-ups, rotate, hinges, planks, squats, and lunges.
What comes with the package?
The inclusions are:

Does the workout guide show more exercises?
Yes, it does. It also shows a step-by-step guide on how to do the exercises.
The all-in-one suspension Training Kit has everything you could ever need in a suspension training kit and more.
Whether you’re tight in schedule, want to workout anywhere, or just want to have a new and fun workout routine, I can definitely recommend the TRX all-in-one suspension training kit!
The first time is the only challenging time. Once you get the hang of it, you can make your own personal routines and focus on what you want to work on.
If you want to focus on your arms and chest, do some push-ups and pull-ups. If you want to work on your obliques, do rotation exercises.
The great thing about this suspension trainer is it can do a lot for you. In fact, you can have a cardio workout with it. Just have short breaks in between exercises!
Oh and one thing it’s particularly good at is working on the abs. It does train them like crunches. In fact, I’d say they’re far better than regular crunches!
If you have a sport, you know that core strength is important.
The only thing with this training kit is that advanced people or athletes may find it average. If you are body-building, this won’t work for you.
Also as a last note, do exercise caution when using this kit. You will rely on it for your weight so you must make sure everything is secured.
